Profile Picture

My name is Phillip Yocham.  I am a Youth Librarian in Ventura County California.  I am originally from Oklahoma but I received MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before starting my studies at UW-Madison I lived and worked in Japan as an English teacher for six years. My experience as a teacher in Japan helped to define who I am now and most importantly my career as a Youth Librarian.  I have over six years work and volunteer experience with public libraries and two years academic experience in libraries. I am happiest working with children, teens, and their parents/cargivers.  I also enjoy providing service to people of all ages. I am passionate about early literacy development and really excited about emerging library technologies.
